: He, my name is Bep Phelps.
: And I am looking for some information.

: My late husband had a fender precision bass guitar,
: serial number S747273. It also sais badass bass II.

: I would like to know which year it is, and where I can find some more information on the web about this guitar. Can anybody help me?

Please accept my condolences on the loss of your husband....
you may wish to go to www.fender.com and email them with the serial number of the bass guitar. I would also not succumb to any offers from anyone to buy this bass until you know exactly what you have, because depending on the year it was made it could have more or less value, and I would not want to see you taken advantage of.
By the way - where does it say "Badass Bass II" on the bass? Is it on the bridge, in that case that may be identifying the bridge, not the bass itself. If you can't get the answer from Fender, please either Email myself or post back to this board. Someone here will help you.
Also - you may wish to go to www.carolkaye.com and email Carol Kaye. She is a big time customer of Fender thru the years, and I know she has contacts within Fender (atleast I am sure she does, as long as she has played their stuff), and she may be able to help you even further.
Tell her Paige sent you.
God Bless you...
Paige
