: I own a 1962 Fender Jazz bass guitar and was wondering what the value of it might be today. It has all original parts, pots, pickups, frets etc. but over the years the body was scratched and in my zest to have a good looking bass I had the finished removed to the timber and it now has a varnished timebr body. As I say, other than that its in original condition.
: Any ideas on value or marketability.

Hey there,
Well, it looks like you own a collector's item! The removal of the original finish will certainly diminish its market value, but I think it's still a very valuable piece. I suggest you to contact Madolin Bros. or Elederly Instruments, they can give you an accurate valuation of your axe for a reasonable fee. Buena suerte and keep your bass up front in the mix,
