: : I've got an SWR 350, and it's been producing moderatley distorted tones, especially in the mid-range. It's not the battery in my bass or the tube in the amp, as both are new. Does anyone have any idea what the problem is before I send it away to be looked at?

: make sure you have the preamp volume turned up, and the master volume set lower, if they are both cranked it could produce distortion, make sure you dont have the mids maxed out either, set everything flat and go from there, I found it vertually impossible to distort my 350, unless I cranked everything to the max, or used a realy bad cord.

sorry about my bad spelling, just woke up a little bit ago......
