Hey, I was just looking on samash.com, and they have a Squier Affinity P-Bass for 169.00. Now before anybody tells you what a hunk of crap this bass is, let me tell you I bought one(granted, it was only cause I needed a body and 169. for a painted body is a pretty good deal)anyway, the hardware is cheap, the fretwork is sloppy and the pickups are crap...BUT, those are compared to my standards, overall for the price, I was impressed by the general utilitarian bassic Bass that it is. in time a new set of pickups, and maybe a beefier bridge...maybe even a Warmoth neck or such.....but that is with time, for now it aint that bad. For now it will get you into a P-Bass for cheap and that can't be a bad deal. Think it over, check it out, maybe you won't be dissappointed. peace....John
