i own two 1x15s, and have been pretty happy with them. however, i would like to try a 4x10. something tells me that the 4x10 would push a lot more air than a 15. however, if you are mainly a low end player, a 1x15 will give you better low tones, especially a low B.
if you play a lot of mid and high end notes, i would probably go 4x10. of course, let me remind you i haven't actually played a 4x10. it just seems to me to be able to be louder, but not as loud on the lower side.
if the option is there, maybe look at a 1x15 and 2x10. that way you could get the best of both low and high end. that's what i'm looking to do, since i don't think i would need a 15 and 4x10.
hope this helps somewhat
