I second Basshole's idea.
I currently play through a 1x15" and a 2x10" with a tweeter horn. I also decided to bi-amp so each amp/cab can focus on more specific frequencies. I run my crossover at or around 250Hz, allowing the 15" to hit that low B (mmmMMMmmm) and the 10"s can take care of the mids and highs.
Sounds great, as far as I'm concerned. The only other thing I can imagine springing for is a Bag End ELF system with an 18" and a 4x10" cab (I bet that could take the paint of the walls). Anyone ever used (or have, for that matter) Bag End's super-duper crossover ELF? I'm curious how it sounds (I think it says it's accurate down to 8Hz!)
