: Should I buy a 4x10 or 1x15? i've tried both, and they're both appealing in their own way. I mainly play heavy rock at the moment, but may end up doing session work a few years down the track (i.e. variety of styles).

: thanks for your help

Like has been said before, it's a matter of taste. Having said that, my taste leans toward 4x10s for the quicker response. I have found HUGE differences between brands so I would STRONGLY recommend trying them out first and if you don't like a particular cabinet, don't give up on the configuration.

I have a Peavey 8x10 that I love (REALLY love). When I went looking for an additional 4x10, I was very dissapointed with how the Peavey 4x10s sounded with my set-up. I eventually found an old Tube Works 4x10 cab that is awesome (Based on the Genz Benz design). Good luck!
