: Hey all,

: I've been looking through some effects units to expand my stage and recording rig and one came to my attention, the Lexicon MPXG2 Effects Processor. It says it is built for guitar, but can this type of unit also be used for bass? The main reason I was looking at it was because it also comes with a foot pedal specifically made for that processor. Are there any bass-only effects processors like this? I was also looking at a model by T.C. Electronic, but that model doesn't have as many options. I'm looking for something rackmountable.

: If the Lexicon can be used for bass, that would be my first choice. Do I have any other options?

That can be used for bass, i'm sure, but it most likely will have not a lot of useful effects for bass. It may also make you sound "thin", without a lot of bass presence. One unit that _is_ designed for bass is the ART Nightbass + X-15 foot controller. It is out of production, but it really kicks ass. I have one, and the matching footpedal, and it just rocks. Unfortunately, I am in coillege and running out of money for I think I'm gonn sell it on eBay...or...if you'd like it - I'll offer an discount! hehee. 200 presets, 130 factory, 2u rackmount, pedal w/ 14 buttons, two exp. pedals - you can turn effects on and off in a patch like stomp boxes...Kicks ass!
