: Hi there gang,
: I think I need your advice on this one. I'll be moving to a new apartment in a few weeks and I need to reorganize all my stuff. Since I'm not going to have too much space, I'm thinking about sending my old "fridge size" inside a closet (it`s a Hartke 3500 head atop two Hartke XL cabinets), and switch to a small combo amp which can serve me for practicing, studying and direct recording purposes. I've been checking around and the new Laney HCB 30 combo amp, which is a little 30 watt amp from its "hardcore" line, seems to be a reasonable choice.
: So the question is, has anyone tried this amp? Pros and cons? And if you didn't, do you know about some combo amp that matches those specs (small size, good sound, a line out for recording direct to hard disk) which you can recommend?
: Thanks in advance and, as always, buena suerte and keep your basses way up front in the mix,

: P.S.: Scott Hubbell, Alfonso ....¿dónde están, amigos míos?
I have tried LAneyy HArdcore and it have never let me dow , i don remem ber the precise model but it have 6 band eq and a big compresor for the price i think it is the best choice, but if you want something much better i recomend SWR that amps make you sound very cool, www.musicianfrien.com they sell them much cheaper try it , i have never tried ampeg but if victor wooten , les claypool , billysheehan, chris squirer and dave la rue like them i think that would be very nice bass
