: Will the cold damage my bass or my tube amp if I leave it in the car?

: Gets down to the 20's.

It is better if you don't leave it in the cold any more than necessary, but if you have to, make sure you let the bass warm up to room tempature inside its case before you open the case. If you open it in a warm room while it is still cold the wood will expand, possibly causing finish damage. This is more likely to happen in older instruments, as todays finishes are pretty tough, but you should still be careful. It used to be very common to find used instruments with cracks in the finish because of this. As far as your tube amp, it is absolutely critical to let the tubes warm up to room temperature before turning it on, because they heat up, and going from extreme cold to hot that fast can destroy them.
