The best piece of advice i ever got was this: never leave your bass somewhere you wouldn't spend the night. would you stay in your car overnight? i didn't think so. also, this may be more applicable to hot weather, but temperature changes can lead to moisture build up inside the case. hopefully you have some of those silica gel packs and stuff. i don't recommend leaving equipment in a car overnight, no matter what the temperature is. it is is, ultimately, your decision though. Splat's advice was good too, but you may experience some tuning problems after prolonged exposure. Just check your bass over really well if you leave it.
