: If anybody has played one please give me your opinion thanks Allen

I bought one a few months ago. It definitely one of the best five string basses I've ever played and nothing else comes close for the money. Mahogany body, maple neck, 35" scale - this bass really projects! I also own an Ibanez EDC-705 and on the basis of acoustic sound, there really is no comparison. The Ibanez really relies on a powerful active circuit to give it a good sound. With the ESP, you have a clear sound from the start.

The pickups are good, nice powerful, passive humbucking EMGs and a quiet 3 band EQ.

The only thing with this bass that might annoy some people is the lack of a pickup blend - you get 2 volumes instead. That said, you don't get the huge change in volme when panning from bridge to neck pickups that seem to blight a lot of medium cost instruments.

Overall, a winner. If they'd produce a stock fretless version with an ebony fingerboard, I'd be an even happier man!
