: There really is no comparison. The Peavey Cirrus 6 is one of the best basses you can buy for the money! No other bass has the "Bang for the Buck" 35 inch scale for a tighter b string. The Ibanez is 34 inch. I owned a prestige series 5 string for years and my Cirrus kills it!!!!!!!!! The neck is flat and playable. The action is fast. It is studio quiet with an 18 volt active electronics package. It also has a three band eq that is very flexible. This allows me to make adjustments right from my bass when facing concert hall room variables. Plus it is reliable. I was always fixing my soundgear. Loose pots, etc. Yamaha makes nice basses but I played a $3000 Yamaha the other day and it felt like I was playing the side of a tree. The neck was too thick. It was a strain on my wrists. Believe me... the Cirrus is the best value!!!!!!!!!!!!!
