: I play bass and some guitar.I was wondering for recording purposes can I plug the bass into the guitar pod and get a decent bass sound. I know it's not going to sound like a swr or anything, but until I can afford the bass pod as well.I just want to know if it can be done. Also some tips if anyone has done it. thanks
I've done it too. You can get some very good, very usable bass sounds with the Pod. It isn't as versatile as the Bass Pod (I have both), but you can still get some great sounds from it. I keep mine permenently attached to my sound card for practicing and recording, and use the Bass Pod on gigs (although if I'm looking for a specific bass amp sound for recording I use the Bass Pod). The Tube Preamp sounds good, and so does the Bassman model, but you can get good sounds out of guitar amp models also. I use the Fender Twin model a lot.
