: Ive been playing bass for years now and am always having hand problems, I got carpel tunnel from a car accident. are there any warmups or stretches i can do to help this. And my new band played 3 great gigs in 4 days but now ive got big blisters on my plucking fingers, whats the best advice for helping/ preventing this?
Hey, Matt!
Sounds like you're playing too hard. You might consider:
1. Lowering your action.
2. Getting a louder amp.
3. Postitoning your right hand so that your plucking fingers are moving DOWN, rather than up or across the string.
Hope you find this helpful.
Good Luck,
Rob
