I have two Roscoe basses, a 5 and a 6 fretless, both of which have a 35' scale. The safest bet for me are D'Addario XL nickel roundwounds. For 35' scale basses, you'll want to get the long scale strings. These accomodate 34' to 35' scale lengths. They're flawless strings, foolproof, and they sound excellent.
