I've had a Yamaha TRB6II for 9 months now and I'm as in love with it as a mother with her just born baby (well, nearly at least). After that terrible comparison I can tell that my Yamaha is a great instrument, I realize that probably everybody who has spent 1000$ on a bass is going to say that they have the best bass. There're some minor things not quite perfect but for me I think I couldn't have made a better choice! :) I was considering the Myung bass but after hearing both Myung and Patitucci on many records I desided without a doubt to invest my money on the TRB6II!

P.S. Remember that with the Myung bass there's a narrow string spacing, it's good for some but not for all of ussss.

: I'm looking to buy a 6 string and I haven't seen much as far as what is really worth the money, or the most bang for the buck. I've looked at the Ibanez BTB's, Warwicks, Yamaha's, etc. I've read to stay away from the soundgear's but I have a 1500 Padouk that is incredible. I assume it comes down to preference, but any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

: Also Musician's friend is selling the John Myung model for $599? and lists for $1499?? That seems odd. There aren't different models of his signature series are there?
