: Thanks to Mickster, and Zach for your responses. I am currently using an MTD 35" with active Bartolinis and low string action and a somewhat hard finger style of playing which I sometimes have to watch so that I don't get buzzing or noise from hitting the frets from the hard playing on the B string. If there is a tendency of the 130 buzzing more maybe 120 or 125 might be more suited to me.

Hey, Tee!

I also play an MTD 35" scale. I always use a 125 gauge step wound B (sr-2000). It's always worked for me, but I've found that you do have to be a little less agressive on the B string.

Good Luck,

Rob
