: My tobias toby pro 6 just came in and it is great. The action came a little low and i tried to fix it with the bridge but i am kind of timid of using the truss rods since it has 2 and i don't know how i could efficently use them. Any help on how i could raise the action a little bit with the truss rods would be much apreciated. I am also not sure of what knobs control what, i know where the main volume is and i think i know what the other ones are but i would love if someone could fill me in on which ones do what just so i can have a little assurance on what i am doing. Thanks in advanced.

I am a Tobias owner of over 10 years. There should be no need to turn the truss rods in order to change the action. If you do feel they need a turn due to warping of the neck, you must turn both of them the same amount. Never turn one without matching that turn on the other. Low action is desirable, especially if you are going to use slap technique. But, you always adjust the action with the bridges. I judge my action (which is pretty low) by the sound coming from my amp. My Tobias has 5 knobs. The lower 3 are treble, midrange, bass going left to right. Above that are the other 2, ,left for volume and right for pickup panning. Have fun on your instrument.
