Using mismatched cabinets is not really a good idea - the D210T will probably suck up most of the power, so the 4 X 10 won't do much. The amp can probably handle the lower impedance under most conditions, but you're gonna be pushing some high volume, so it's kind of risky. Have you tried the 4X10 by itself? Does the increased surface area compensate for the output reduction (you'll get about 200 Watts at 8 Ohms)?
: I have an Eden WT-300 amp, with a 4 ohm Eden D210T cab, and I've just acquired an SWR Workingman's 4x10T 8 ohm cab to help me push some more air with the blues/funk/R&B band I'm currently with.
: My question is this...
: The nominal impedence of the cabs in parallel is 2.7 ohms. Is this gonna fry the Eden Traveler, or do you think she'll be able to handle that kind of current draw? The 4x10 cab moves a lot more air than the 210T by itself, but six tens and a pair of compression horns would really be sweet, if the amp doesn't go up in smoke because of it.
: Thoughts and opinions welcome.
: Thanks in advance.
