: Ive been playing for about 15 years and I go thru strings about every 45-60 days. Anybody have a recommendation for a brand that will last longer for people like me with "sponge hands?"

Some people have this more than others -- just like we are all different, and depending ont eh foods we eat etc.
So, the best advice I can give you is to wipe your bass neck and strings with Lemon oil (befoer and after you play). This is a tip
I learned from Cliff Richard and The Shawdows when I stated playing bass and guitar some 37 years ago,
and I still use it today. It can feel a bit slippery at first, but later you find you can't stand to play without it, and your strings last
a lot longer (while everthing stays nice and clean)

Good luck,
