I recently bought a new SWR Workingman's 4x10, 400 watt, 8 ohm cab, because my Eden D210T cab was not pushing enough air to get the volume I needed for the blues/rock band I am now in. It really amazes me how much louder this cab is, despite being 8 ohms and drawing much less power from my Eden WT-300 amp, than the 4 ohm D210T. And add to that the fact that the SWR cab is rated as being 3dB less efficient (100 dB/1w/1m versus 103), and it really demonstrates that greater driver surface area and the added coupling effect are the key to getting more volume from your rig.
