: Hello!

: Anyways, I currently play a Yamaha TRB-II 5-string bass, and I couldn't be happier with the instrument, honestly! I wouldn't even think of selling it. Despite that, in the future, I also plan on buying a Warwick Corvette 5-string, probably of the proline series.

: Nonetheless, here's my question for the present: Seeing as how I may soon start gigging, I thought it might be smart to pick myself up a more 'kick around' bass, probably a 4-string. For a bass of this type, my budget is about in the 300-400 range -- So, since I'm not exactly sure what to look out for in this price-range, I was hoping someone could point me at a few different type of basses, to make it easier for me to make up my mind. :)

: Anyways, Thanks!

Sounds like you have what you need already. "If it works, don't fix it." Seems to me that if you go to a 300-400 range bass you'd be taking a step backwards. If you're worried about getting hit by flying beer bottles - just remember... that's what bass drums are for!
