Hrm. Sounds like a good idea, to me! I'll keep an eye on ebay, since they don't have the particular Yamaha model I'm hoping to get. ;) Though, I might just break in and get an ESP. Or I could dish out the 500-600 dollars, and get a used Stingray. Plenty of choices! Nonetheless, thanks for all the opinions. If anyone has any other ideas/opinions, feel free to slide them pass me. :)


: Plenty of used Yamahas on Ebay. I have the bottom of the line BB200 with a SD SPB-2 PU., and DR highbeams. This bass is a dream to play and sounds great. $100 for the bass,$40 for the PU, $20 for the strings, and your favorite can reside safely in its case. YMMV
