"choppy" two finger technique

I've always played with the two finger technique. Thumb bass just aint my thing, I like funky bass, but I can't slap and pop etc.

However, i'm getting a little worried about the sound i'm making with my fingers. When I play (alternating between the first and second fingers of my right hand) the sound is uneven. If I play quickly with just one finger then all the notes sound the same, but if I use two fingers then the sound becomes kind of choppy.

I'd just like to know if anyone else has had this problem and if there is any way to solve this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

p.s. Bass definatly helps you to relax.
About a month ago I had to do my G.C.S.E.s (huge tests at the end of school) and to help me revise in the few weeks before the tests I would play bass to help me relax and get in the right frame of mind to start revising. I got my results earlier today (they're brilliant, gloat, gloat, gloat, etc.) and i'm sure that playing the bass helped me to relax and had a real positive effect on my exam results.
Bass beats chemical substances hands down when it comes to relaxing (satisfaction not guarranteed!)
