: I'm about to buy a 6 string fretless. Before I do, I was wondering if anyone had any comments about the Carvin LB76PF 6 string? Anything that you dislike about it? I've owned Carvins in the past and have been pleased with them. This will be my first 6 string and my first fretless. All comments appreciated.

I've been playing a Carvin 6 string for seven or eight years and have no complaints. The B string isn't as strong and punchy as some of the other basses I've had, but it's certainly adequate. Some of the earlier Carvin 6 strings with the single truss rod tended to have neck problems, but they fixed that when they added the second rod. Mine's a single, but luckily it never warped.
