I FEEL THAT THERE IS A DISTINCTIION BETWEEN THE MAPLE AND ROSEWOOD NECK . THIS BECOME APPARENT WHEN WE LOOK AT THE PERFOMANCE OF BOTH WOODS FROM AN ACOUSTIC POINT. THE MAPLE NECK IS MORE REFLECTIVE AN THUS HAS A GOOD ATTACK BUT POOOR SUSTAIN.THE ROSEWOOD IS THE EXACT OPPOSITE AND HAS BETTER SUSTAIN AND TENDS TO SOUND WARMER.
