: I am having a problem with my Hartke 2115 Combo where I get distortion when I play B flat and sometimes when I play A flat (only on these notes). I play a Tobias Killer B with Bartolini active pickups and a Toby Pro with active EMG's. I have tested and eliminated the possibility of the distortion coming from my basses, batteries, cables, or from the pre-amp tube in the amp. I am wondering if any Hartke users have experienced a similar problem with this combo (and if so, how/if you solved it!). Thanks much!

I really dont think your problem is with the Amp.
I have a 2115, use a Fender Power Jazz And an Ibnez bsb 400 with no problem. However if I run my Ovation 6 string the g note on the e string goes wild. I think the problem is in the guitar, the vibration in the wood, maybe the frets, but most likely the electronics By adjusting the EQ on the amp or your tone controls on the bass, or a combo of both. This will get the sound under control. I have had othe combos. of amps and basses and had your problem and by doing some tone adjustmenst got things under control. Oh ya be sure all screws and bolts are tight in the amp just in case it is an amp vibration. I hope this helps Good luck and always God Bless John {:o)>
