: Is there anything I can do about having sweaty hands without surgery?? I have always had sweaty hands especially when im nervous. Its gross!!! HELP!!!

I feel yur pain. I've found that it can be beneficial when playing bass, in the early stages. But when they get bad, it can be very uncomfortable and the sweat can breakdown and stain the wood on your neck quicker then normal. I try to wash my hands well and dry them thoroughly before I play. That seems to help for a while. I've also tried lightly dusting my hands with white pool chalk. If you do it too much, though, they can start to crack, which might suck more. The best results, of course, come when I'm completely relaxed. Ten minutes into playing I realize my hands are soft and dry - of course, this never seems to happen on stage. Hope I helped.

Rick
