If you're serious about playing the bass, I have three words for you: FENDER, FENDER, FENDER. I've been playing professionally for 18 years, have owned at least ten basses (two Ibanezes) and finally wised up and went back to the trusty P-bass about three years ago. I also play a '72 Fender Mustang. If money forces you to choose between a new Mexican or Jap model or a used American model, BUY THE AMERICAN!! It will hold it's resale value and will actually go UP in value while the Ibanez won't be worth squat in a couple years. I learned this lesson the hard way. I bought a beautiful Ibanez for about $650 in 1992 and I just saw one just like it go for $220 on eBay. To sum it all up; buy an American Fender or throw your money away. Peace,T
