Hello,
Please, excuse my bad english...
I'm the owner of a Carvin PB-200 amp. This model has a fixed gain at the input stage (I suppose so, because there is no knob or similar...). It has never represent a problem for me (should it be?) since my bass deliver a very strong and clear signal. But when I plugg a doublebass everything changes. Surely its because of the mic I use, but I'm afraid if it's going to be the same with a piezo pickup. Do I need another amp with a gain control?

Another question: this amp is powered by 2 80w stages at 4 Ohms, that deliver when bridged the full 160w at 8 Ohms of the internal speaker. If I plugg only any of the stages alone into the internal speaker (this apm has this possibility) I get 50W. What about of using two cabinets? In which way should I plug them?

Thank you,
