I saw a Walteer Woods amp in 1978 during a jazz seminar. The bass player put me in contact with Walter, and I have held on to it for 25 yrs. Bought an HB EV 1-12 speaker cabinet, and have the perfect combo for fretless or fretted bass sound. I play in a church mostly, but sounds great jamming with friends. I use the bass and Treble boosts because I like a bright sound. I keep the main volume about 75% up, and channel volumes at 15%. I use the low input for active pickups and high input for passive pickups. Works great as a preamp to get more punch into the sound system when not using my speaker. Over 25 yrs, its still a great travel combo of a 7 lb amp in a shoulder bag with music, 30 lb speaker in one hand and an electic bass in the other hand.
