Heya gang, I'm working on my ongoing quest for more Carvin bass data
for the Carvin Bass Museum (http://www.carvinbassmuseum.com) - I only need scans from a few years now: 1963, 1964, 1966, 1969, 1973, 1974 & 1981. Thanks to member of AGB, TalkBass, the Carvin BBS and a few others, I've been able to compile data from every other year all the way back to 1960, 35 years total! Plus, as always, I'm always looking for photos of player's basses, old ads, just about anything Carvin-bass related.
And if you haven't visited before, the Carvin Bass Museum is a site dedicated
to (of course) Carvin basses. I have hundreds of submissions from players, as well as interesting eBay items, a Swap Shop, and tons of information for the
Carvin bass fan. There are over 150 actual basses from Carvin's In-Stock section - these show the wide variety if colors, woods, hardware, etc that they offer, a Search feature, translation services (7 different languages!), screensavers, wallpapers and so on. All-n-all, thousands of photos, spanning hundreds of pages of Carvin info. Come on by!
But I'm particularly trying to fill in the above years, so that I have a
comprehensive evolution of Carvin basses - so, if anyone has access to any of these catalogs, and are willing to scan the bass pages, sell 'em, loan 'em, or whatever, please let me know! I'll gladly give you credit, links, whatever I can do in return.
