I recently read in a catalog for EMG pickups that Mexican Fender Jazz basses don't have the same size pick ups as other Fender J-basses. This would mean that J-bass replacement pick-ups won't
fit in your bass. EMG makes a set that will fit.
Just thought you might want to know that.
