: : Hi!
: : I've been a guitar player for 8 years, and I'm moving over to bass for full-time. My band plays techno/rock and I want a good electronic synth sound to my bass. I'm mentioning this since the vast majority of these pedals are marketed as Bootsy style funk sounds, and what I'm playing isn't exactly funky, but more smooth and melodic.
: : I'm down to the Boss bass synth, The Akai Deep Impact, and the EH microsynth. Which one should I choose? (playing them isn't an option, and the more money I save, the better)
: : Thanks a lot!
: : DMC
: :I recommend the Akai. Most importantly all their pedals sound exceptionally good and they have alot of tweakability. But the main advantage is Akai pedals haven't sold well because they aren't that well known among musicians (obviously boss pedals are). So if you look around you should be able to find one reasonably cheap.
the deep impact is quite good.craps on any boss pedals(apart from the octaver).ive been playing for about 15 years, and use a few pedals, and i was looking for a synthy sorta sound.tryed out heaps of pedals, and decided on the akai.im very happy with it,heaps of tweakabillity, but limited at the same time.definetly worth it 8)
