From being an engineering graduate of IIT to attaining worldwide fame and respect as a trail-blazing guitarist, Prasanna has grown into one of the most prodigious music talents to emerge from India. A multi-dimensional guitarist and composer whose path-breaking journey embracing traditional Indian classical carnatic music with Jazz, Blues, Rock, Indian film music, African and various other genres, has brought him into a select world of young artists that are pushing the boundaries of world music today. A regular draw in some of the top most international Jazz, Guitar and world music festivals, Prasanna has performed/recorded with an array of legends in the Jazz/Fusion world including Larry Coryell, Joe Lovano, Alphonso Johnson, Steve Smith, Kai Eckhardt and with the biggest names in Indian music including A.R.Rahman, Dr. L. Subramaniam, Illayaraja, Pandit Hari Prasad Chaurasia, Shankar Mahadevan, Kadri Gopalnath, Prof. Trichy Sankaran and numerous others. Prasanna's talent as a composer/arranger of western classical music has been highlighted in the title score of A.R.Rahman's Bollywood blockbuster 'Lagaan', apart from his own premieres of his works at prestigious venues like Queen Elizabeth Hall and the likes.

Chip Stern in Music Magazine wrote "Victor Wooten is proof that all men are not made equal". Victor has pushed the bass guitar to such new heights in the last decade
that he is considered to be one of the all-time greats. Victor's contribution is so striking that Rock bass legends like Led Zeppelin's John Paul Jones, Mr. Big's Billy Sheehan to the who's who of Jazz and fusion have sung his praise. Victor is a three-time Grammy Award winning artist with the "Bela Fleck and the Flecktones", considered one of the most unique and popular instrumental bands in the world. He is the only bass player in the world to receive the "Bassist of the Year" award three times from 'Bass Player Magazine.' He has performed with the biggest names in contemporary music including Chick Corea, Dave Mathews Band, Branford Marsalis, Bruce Hornsby and others. With a worldwide following for his own work and the immensely popular 'Bela Fleck and the Flecktones', Victor marches on, redefining the electric bass.
