You may need to be a bit more specific here. Are you looking for overdrive? Perhaps overdrive with a bit of compression? Maybe a bit of enhancement on the lower end... A friend of mine just picked up the Behringer V-Amp Bass (the rack pre model). I was blown away by it's quality sounds and affordable price (I use one of their tube pres in my studio and it's first rate). It's cheaper than the Bass POD, but the POD -- I believe -- has more sounds. For the price, if you're looking for a good combination of "tone shaping" effects that play nicely together (as opposed to some of the nightmares that can happen to your sound when you have two or six pedals in your signal path), I'd recommend trying either of these. The Behringer is much better priced, but the POD may give you more to choose from. Both sound excellent. Hope this helps.
