Hey all. Last week, I was at a rehersal for my jazz combo where I play el. bass. While the drummer was off tending to other buisness, we all switched instruments. As I had my share of the drum set for a while, I got up and saw the aftermath of the keyboardest on my bass. I'm not sure what he did to the bass, but after the nut and washer from around the jack came off somehow, the actual socket of where you plug into had come loose from it's surroundings and fell into the body. I quickly turned the bass upside down with the aid of some band members and unplugged the cord. After 5 minutes of failure, we managed to fit the washer back around the socket and screw the nut back on so the socket was stable, but it stuck out a centimeter or so--not normal. When we turned it back on its back to lay it on the table, I could hear things moving around inside, as if the screws that held in the socket came loose and were rolling around freely. So if anyone know what would have happend, please explain, and any operation that I can perform my self, as I am saving up for a guitar.

Thank you for your help,
-Austin
