: Aight here is a challenge.......

: I have a American Std Passive Fender Jazz........

: And I'm in to Slap style playing ?

: Why the hell did you buy a Fender ? you might say

: well thats because I love the feel of it.....I've played

: a music man stingray which is great for slapping but i don't

: lijke how it feels.

: And I'm also in an R&B band as well as a funk band. The Passive Fender

: sound fits right in with the R&b band. Its warm and Smooth. But with the funk band I can't get the right slap sound I want...

: Well I Know I can buy another bass to use in the Funk Band, but I don't want to..

: I'm thinking of buying a Sadowskey pre amp pedal..........would this work ?

: If there is anyone out there who is getting a kick ass Slap sound from a Passive Fender Jazz...I wanna know your secret.........

Heaviest round-wound strings you can get. Lower the action as much as possible and get a Trace Elliot!
