A friend of mine has one of those in the five string. I was amazed how closely it resembled my Pedulla Thunderbass. It's a reasonable quality instrument and a good buy for the price -- though resale is poor (if you get it, hold on to it). The best part is they offer a ten day unconditional money-back guarantee, so if you don't like it, you're covered. The one thing that stuck out to me was that the body wasn't carved as nicely as most other instruments out there (cheaper basses seem to have little more than a quick rounding of the edges after the body is cut) and you get what you pay for with the finishes on their axes.

: Has anyone had any expereince with playing a Carvin bass? I am thinking of buying a LB70WP. Since they only sell direct I can't run down to the local store to check out the sound and playability. I play funk/rock and fusion. Thanks
