The advice about getting the bass in for tuning (I mean bridge, neck and so on) is good. It might be that your strings are too low... Or it might be the neck.
I'd just like to add that it MIGHT be your style. It probably isn't, but if you suspect this maybe you can check with a more experienced person.
A funny (well I think it's funny) sidenote on bad form. A new found guitarplaying friend of mine came over to jam and generally goof around. He liked my sound and thought that we'd switch instruments a while (I sometimes sin with the guitar I have to admit hehe) After playing for a minute or so the guy got angry and said there was something wrong with my bass. He had managed to make godawful sounds with it that I didn't know was possible without wrecking it hehe.
He janked the strings...and now we aren't talking popping, we are talking ripping it offing ;) This made....you guessed it, fretbuzz from hell.
He tried some slapping and all it said was tck tck... becous he had his elbow resting on the strings.
Man did he stink. He on the other hand proclaimed that he used to play bass when he was younger (for a full week I learned later).... I can see why he changed to guitar hehe.
Anyway, the point of my antik here was that it is possible that it is your playing.... but if you've played for more then a week, I suspect it is the setup of your bass ;)
: Ok...i dont know what it is...
: When i play on my E, it kinda flops around and has tremendous frett buzz...
: It also kinda clicks when i play...
: Is it my bass or just my crappy technique?
: Any advice would be appreciated...Thanx.
