: This is probably one of the most common questions when buying a bass.
: How many strings should I get?
: In my case I can't deside over 5 or 6 strings. I like to do a lot of soloing (I can't do it but I like to do it. :-) So any experiences before I go and waste my money on something I'll regret? Low I definately also want to go that's why I'm getting a new bass so 5 strings with a high C won't really do the trick.
: Or maybe I should do like that and put my old 4 stringer to BEAD. I don't know but HEY I CAN THINK ABOUT BUYING A BASS AGAIN. (Haven't forgotton about THE gorgeous though) :)

I think that the only thing you get by adding strings is more range! It can't hurt to have more strings. If you tune it in fourths it will not be hard to pick up on. I actually just bougth a seven string, the only thing to keep in mind is the size of the neck gets bigger as you add strings, but I have not found this to be a huge problem.
