: : But now I met this gorgeous woman and it's all I can think about. I don't want it to go like with a friend of mine who was really talented and then let it all go when finding a companion.

: I've been watching this thread and just had to finally say something. I'm just an old fart bar-room bass player so take the philosophy with a grain of salt. I have found, after two ex-wives, two ex-cars, an ex-dog and an ex-bank account, that at the end of the day all I had left was the bass. Suites me fine. Remember that no matter who you hook up with, sooner or later she will seem like a stranger. The bass just feels more familiar as time goes on.

: I agree with what another guy on here said. If SHE is for you, she will dig what you are into. If you find yourself changing to accomodate that tingly sensation below your waist, consider it a big, red flag. The old jazz guys say that music is a jealous mistress. Just keep sheddin'. The Lord will let you know when the right one comes along and it will stir your heart and not your como se llama. Later.

Ponce, I couldn't have said it better. Women give you the blues, then we play it
on our basses.

P.S. No offense to the lovely ladies at this page. You're all beautiful!
