: I'd like to find a real quality 5-string with some real punch
: and lower end growl like the new peavy furry, or a Warwick,
: or even some washburns. But those guitars (especially washburn)
: have entirely too thick of a neck.

: Finding a 35 in scale is also important to me because I think it
: will facilitate that low-end punch.

: Need something I can slap on also.

: DOES ANYBODY HAVE ANY IDEAS?

I have a 5-string that just might work for you. I bought and used a peavy foundation-5 some years ago. The neck especially at the nut is skinny. I have installed EMG Active Humbucker pickups so punch is not a problem. Bass is solid Black with Chrome hardware. Neck is maple. Hardshell Case is included. I have since moved on to an Alembic Orion-5. Any way, If you are interested, drop me an E-mail. Thanks,
Bryan
