: I'm looking for a small bass combo (8" / 10" / 12"). It shouldn't be heavy but i need enough power (120W min.) I've heard that Gallien Krueger and EBS combos are quite good, but they are too expensiv...(The combo shouldn't cost more than $500) Is a 12" speaker enough for a 6 String?
: Thanks

I have a Roland DB-500, and I love it. small light, handles a low B easily...but it does need one fix from the factory.(ROGI, you should do this) The port is just a hole in the tube...leads to a thin, airy sound on extra loud, low notes(E at 12th fret, volume@10). I fixed it for $12 by buying a cardboard tube at the hardware store, cutting it to size (about 2" from back of cab) and putting it in the hole. made a huge difference. I also added some fiberglass insulation to the walls inside, but that is much less crucial. other than that, an awesome amp...especially for $400 on eBay. If you want more info on the tube porting,(ROGI) give me an Email.
