: They aren't 35", but most Ibanez 5's have very narrow necks. I have a Soundgear 1205 neck-through that is very narrow and easy to play. I also have a mid-80's Ibanez Roadstar II 885 with a bolt-on neck in excellent condition that has the narrowest 5-string neck I have ever seen. You may want to see if one is available used in your area. I might also be willing to part with mine since I am accumulating too many instruments (from my wife's perspective).

I second the Ibanez recommendation, despite their not being 35" necks (And you're right, admittedly the Low B string isn't as punchy as I'd like it. Small sacrifice if you have thin hands like myself however).

Alternately, check out www.dpcustom.com. The guy builds custom guitars and basses, CHEAP. Some people here (I've never had the privelege of playing one myself..I'm just relaying information) swear by them yet. Hey, nothing like a bass built just for you.
Good luck in your search!
