This reminded me that Primus bassist Les Claypool tried to get into Metallica when the first bassist died. If you're familiar with Claypool's playing style it's a nice laugh to think that he would be in the band. I think Claypool was Hetfield's class mate or something.
When I posted the first message I thought now everybody will tell how great Metallica is and how big fans they are. Instead I notice that there's all these jazz guys and that makes me really happy.
