: I know I've heard at least one person rave about the basses this guy makes, so I have a few questions:
: So I guess I have one question for him/them: What, if any, fancy options did you put on it? I.E. did you opt for Bartolini pickups & EQ, a fancy fretboard, etc, or did you just go "Stock" (As stock as a customized bass can be, anyway)? $650 for a customized 6-string....*Drool pant slobber*
: One more question: Any idea if he'll make a fretless for me? I just figured I'd ask here first before throwing him an e-mail. Thanks for your help!
I have bought two of the Pushics and am a Happy Camper! I couldn't afford
Alembics, Sadowskis, Foderas, or...fill in the blank. I ran across Dave on ebay.
Bought one of his prebuilt customs. It was cool but wasn't really what I wanted.
So I asked him if he would build one to my specs. And the rest as they say is
history. The first one I sort of gave him free rein on the body as long as it was
light weight and Honduran Mahogony. The neck however, I specified as I have small
hands and wanted the neck somewhat narrow and thin front to back. Nothing like
the Fender necks. I also had a set of Alembic active electronics and pickups I
bought off of ebay. What I got was a work of art that sounds like a grand piano
with the treble up and with the bass up it is as deep as I have ever heard.
Gold hardware really sets it off
Awesome!!! The second one I wanted a Claro Walnut front and a three piece neck.
Alternating walnut maple walnut. I will continue in a second post...
