Hey there,

Hummm, I dunno. If all you want is more juice, then get a more powerful amp. A compressor should help you tame the fast transients of the slap attack, and you'll get a more controlled sound overall. Since a compressor, basically, makes soft sounds louder and loud sounds softer, actually you'll notice a lower volume when you slap.

Of course, this is not to say compressors aren't very helpful tools, but I don't think one of them could help you achieve the goal you're after. Buena suerte and keep your bass up front in the mix,
