: I was going to post this anyway, but, it'll be appropriate for the post below by She Devil.

: I'm looking for a five string, and have a few ideas in my head, but, I'm not in a hurry to buy anything, and I honestly don't need another bass, I just want a fiver. I was just browsing around, and saw an Epiphone Les Paul bass for $469.00
: at Musiciansfriend. Then, I went over to Samash, and they have them for $219.00!
: That was no typo: $219.00! Now a Les Paul type bass was not on my list at all, but, for that price I'm very tempted. So I'm just telling anyone who might want a decent 5 string without spending a fortune where to get one. I haven't played one, but honestly, how bad can it be? I have a feeling it would actually sound pretty good.

: Has anyone played or owned one? How does one place sell the same exact instrument for half the price of another? This is not a sale. I work three Subway stops from Sam Ash's Manhattan store, so if I go in there I know I'm going to by one. Lord, give me self control.

The Epi LP basses aren't bad instruments at all; you know how good Epis are in general, so you're dealing with good stuff.

The one thing I wish Epiphone would include would be a pickup selector switch, but that's a minor point; for $219, I'd *definitely* say go for it!!!
